TODAY Club Returns for Another Year

The TODAY (Teen Organization Developing Active Youth) club returns this school year with the first meeting on Thursday, October 3rd.

After the success of the movie night led by the middle schoolers last spring, a major focus for the middle school club this year will be to organize additional large community events. This year we hope to gain more student involvement, as well as educate students on the potential they have to contribute to a safe and healthy New Hope-Solebury community.

Like the middle school, the high school TODAY club plans to build off last years’ successes to improve the club this year. In the spring, some of the students were taught how to use professional video equipment. This school year, we intend to utilize these skills by creating media campaigns on drug and alcohol awareness. A priority for this school year is to improve the peer education program, in which the high school students educate younger students. TODAY plans to continue volunteer opportunities and increase leadership opportunities.
