Community Seminar - CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY; Supporting our loved ones when they need us most

This presentation will provide an overview of the biological, psychological, and environmental aspects of chemical dependency and its impact on the family. Join us to gain a better understanding of the recovery process and the difference between enabling and helping someone. In addition to gaining an understanding of the complexities that make up addiction, you will also receive free resources to help you in your everyday life.   
Presenter: Dana Cohen, MA, MEd Senior Family Therapist, The Livengrin Foundation Dana is a devoted and dedicated clinician with more than a decade of experience in the drug and alcohol field. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychological and Behavioral Sciences, a Master’s degree in Human Sexuality Education from Widener University and a second Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from La Salle University. She began her employment at Livengrin in the Admissions Department as an Assessment Counselor later moving into Family Services. It was from her interaction with families in the waiting room that Dana discovered a true passion to work with families affected by the disease of addiction.
